Mai-Otome Parody Sub: What The Hell?
Damn it. As a sub-only anime fansub watcher, I was pretty thrilled to see Mai-Otome 17 speed-subbed by Farfetched. And what the hell do I get? A parody-sub, and not even a funny one! Yes, it’s the not-work safe type of parody-sub.
Farfetched is farfetched alright. Parody-subs should be labeled as such, or is Farfetched moronic? But I admit, I was equally stupid. Should have guessed from the description at Tokyo Tosho - Quality Speed Sub.

haha, ive always wondered if people did that to anime, I guess its only funny when you really try to translate, and understand the entire show.
Or is it better left un done.

Surprisingly, Farfetched did understand the entire show. While the parody wasn’t funny, the translation did match the actual Japanese in a very twisted sense, at least based on my meagre command of Japanese.

Go watch Hanabi’s Parody sub, it’s 10x times funnier than Farfetched’s.
