Da-Anime - Anime Hosted on Megaupload
Da-Anime consists of a Blogspot blog (more of a site than a blog really) and forum filled with anime hosted on free file hosts (primarily Megaupload actually) that have been uploaded by admins and members.
In practice, it’s similar to sites like RequestAnime.com and Instant Anime, but there is one difference. The site has anime listed on both its blog and forum, where the former is hassle-free, while the latter requires free registration. Of course, you’ll get more anime if you register at the forum.
It has a large collection of anime series and movies (quite a number of rare anime movies there) - especially in their forum - but there is one thing that annoys me. Everytime you load a page on their blog, there’s a pop-under announcement that points you to their forum. While it’s good for people who have no idea they have a forum, there’s really no reason to make it appear on every page load. I feel it would be best to limit the pop-under to once a session.

- Megaupload (Free File Host) Speed: Average
- Free File Host Content on Blog: 65+ completed (e.g. Pretear, Berserk, Gunslinger Girl, etc.) and 3+ ongoing anime series (e.g. Blood+, Eureka Seven, etc.), as well as 25+ movies (e.g. Saint Seiya - Heaven Chapter, Yonna in the Solitary Fortress, etc.).
- Update Frequency: Frequent
- Free File Host Content in Forum: 80+ additional completed (e.g. Read or Die, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Re Cutie Honey, etc.) and ongoing anime series (e.g. xxxHolic, Ergo Proxy, etc.), plus several additional movies (e.g. Air Movie, Naruto Movie 1, etc.). “Additional” refers to the fact that the content in the forum doesn’t overlap with the blog.
- Update Frequency: Frequent
- Video Format: .rmvb (LQ to MQ), .avi (HQ), .ogm (HQ), .mp4 (HQ)
- Note: Blog is hassle-free, i.e. registration or forum posting not required to access downloads. However, the forum requires free registration (e-mail confirmation required), though forum posting is not required to access their downloads section. The site only uses free file hosts, i.e. they do not have their own media server (or rather, they used to have one for uploaders).

Yeah i’ve been trying for days to get on to da-anime with no luck. I hope it comes back soon. I reupped my prem service on megaupload just for them LOL.
hopefully if it has been snubbed we can find a new home for it.

I’ve been wondering the exact same thing about da-anime. I’ve got megaupload premium just for them. It was bad enough that they were down, but now the site is saying it belongs to “Joomla”. What’s going on? I hope they come back soon! Does anyone know for sure anything about what’s happening?

Da-Anime was hacked by National Anime. Joomla is the cms that da-anime ran on. The whole site is joomla. There is nothing wrong with the datacenter…
and from the looks of it, da-anime is being restored step by step…

Yup. Da-Anime was hacked by National Anime’s admin who is a java whore. He likes making rewriting scripts, that used to just link well known anime sites to his site.
Joomla was the host that da-anime hosted with which is why you probably got the hosted by Joomla message.
Right now, they are either switching hosts or just down as it would seem the page currently gives you an “Account Suspended from Servage” message, leaving me to believe that SadistX got his account frozen. Hopefully they switch servers and everything will be alright again.

It;s taking so long for da-anime.org to comeback. Realitylapse was also attacked by a DDos but they managed to fix it in a few weeks. What is the administrators doing? There are soo many out there waiting for their good site to come back.

The owner of D-A (SadX) lives in China and he was just forced into the military as per the laws. So the remaining admins are having a hard time keeping the site up without him. And if I remember correctly he won’t be back for about 2 years.
