CyberTokyo.Net - Anime Direct Downloads Site and Forum
While CyberTokyo.Net is primarily an anime direct downloads forum that requires a minimum number of posts to access certain downloads, there is still a large number of series available for public consumption - i.e. no minimum posts required. So, there is nothing to worry about for those that dislike wasting time on posting.
- Speed: Average
- Public Content (No Posting Requirements): Most ongoing series (e.g. Shana, Lemon Angel Project, Rondo, Guyver, Magikano, Hantsuki, etc.) and 11 older movies/series (e.g. DNA^2, Battle Angel Alita, NTHT and Noir)
- Update Frequency: Frequent
- Video Format: .rmvb, .mkv, .avi (High Quality)
- Note: Free registration required. The video format employed differs from series to series, but most series are in .avi (I think). While there is around 31 series/movies available for those that do not want to post (just register), there’s actually another ~100 series available for those that do post (number of series available depends on number of posts).

ive been a member there for a bit now. Its pretty cool place. Along with registration you have to have a certain number of post to download some sections of anime episodes.

How is your download speeds like? I got pretty average speeds (30k+) using a 1 mbit connection, but I admit that I only tried downloading a file or two.

got about arround 200+ series, everything is free, only downside is there is a wait system when all the download slots are full. need to post to get more though.

I think the 200+ series are for members that post a lot. If I’m not wrong, non-posting members only have around 30+ series - which is still pretty good really.

They seem to be HACKED rite now, the page is redirected to National-Anime (yes, National-Anime again, why?)
June 16th, 2006 09:52
Lol, I wonder as well. But it’s no longer going to N-A but the US Air Force web site instead.
June 16th, 2006 12:40
yeah i seem to be getting the same thing -.- and if i remember right…. N-A has a few hackers…not saying it was them
June 16th, 2006 17:58
I dont know why, every hacked anime site I know so far were all REDIRECRED to NA. It’s the same for CyberTokyo, but then the hacker redirect it to US Air Force web site now. It makes me somehow think that redirecting it to N-A was too obvious telling everyone they are the hackers so they changed its direction….

hi,
is anyone getting access to the forum, or is it closed for good?
i really miss this one.

It seems that the forum is still closed for now, but will be up again soon. However, media downloads have been suspended indefinitely.
Hmm… and according to the admin announcement, it probably wasn’t National-Anime after all.

“and according to the admin announcement, it probably wasn’t National-Anime after all.” where? can u tell me? would love to read. Because all the announcement i found there written b4 the incident.

Aiks, my mistake. I assumed the downtime announcement there was for the recent incident. Should have checked the time properly.
Sorry.
But if they were hacked, wouldn’t they have posted an announcement by now?
