Avluis.com - An Anime Direct Downloads Site in its Infancy

Site Is Dead

When Rainy told me about Avluis.com, I decided to keep my mouth shut on this anime direct downloads site. Why? Because it was still under development - with only about two or three series available. Flooding it with downloaders would have been downright evil.

But IT has grown (insert evil laughter here)! So, it gets a feature:

1) Avluis.com

  • Speed: Fast
  • Content: Eureka Seven, Mai-Otome, Shuffle, Shakugan no Shana, Black Cat, Dan Doh!!, Kashimashi
  • Update Frequency: Frequent
  • Video Format: .avi (High Quality)
  • Note: Avluis.com is still under development, so the navigation system isn’t working right yet. But there’s actually a temporary link to a page listing all the downloads - which I think is more than good enough.

Good good. I am glad the webmaster added more contents. And what’s with proliferation of direct download site lately? But it’s all good for us leechers. :D

nimvus: Thank Rainy, hehe. She spotted it first.

Shinsakura: No problem. Why the inactivity until April anyways? :)

Rainy: Yeap, yeap. The more the merrier… lol.

Interesting, but I hope he/she would host some rare animes tho. All the animes there are pretty new, hence can be found on a lots of sites nowaday.

while it is nice to have more ddl’s, i should\must warn the webmaster that ddl’s are subject to bw abuse and the presumeable 300gb will be eaten quickly as word spreads out. please watch your monthly bandwidth quota so that you do not get hit with overage charges

Thanks. ^O^ I was planning to post a little until April (’cause there are some new animes that are highly anticipated for me) but I kinda changed my mind since I have gone into blogging again.

pimp: You’re rite, but it’s good to have backups. :)

dow: Lol, you’re so correct. I just hope that avluis.com doesn’t turn out like Chiisana.net.

Shinsakura: Hehe, nice to hear that. I just read your Bleach 68-69 summary, and for some reason or another, I somehow missed all the good parts you took screenshots of. But other than those uber-cute segments, uhhh….

dow: Correct,I think they should use php to transfer the files (as shareparadise, fansubtv doing), unless they have huge bandwith available.

Hehe, sorry pimp, but could you clarify what you meant by using php to transfer files?

You store your files in a protected folder or better, a folder above site’s root folder. Then you use php script to transfer any file requested to users (do you notice how you click on a file and was transfered to another script on shareparadise?).
This way, no one can access the folder you store files (hence leeching your bw), and you have completely control over who can download your files.

You can see that specific script here: http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.fread.php (read the user’s comment part)

Oh, you were talking about a PHP download script. Ok, thanks for the clarification. There’s actually quite a lot of good free scripts lying around, like the one I’m using for Anime Field.

man bad news “Black Cat, Eureka seveN, Fate/Stay Night, and Shakugan no Shana.” are been taken off this site as they are according to the website “going to be or have been licenced”

It’s a fair move though as no US web host would willingly host any licensed series. At least this way, Avluis.com will be kept alive. :)
