AnimeCorner.nl – .rmvb Anime Direct Downloads Site

Although I didn’t really plan to do this, I think this week, we’ll primarily be looking at anime direct download sites that exclusively use free file hosts to serve anime episodes, i.e. sites without their own media servers.

Today, we’ll first look at AnimeCorner.nl, a site that uses Rapidshare – one of the most famous, yet irritating file hosts – to serve their files. Given Rapidshare’s relatively tiny 100mb file size limit, it should be obvious to those with Rapidshare experience that the episodes uploaded by AnimeCorner.nl have been reencoded into .rmvb.

Yes, this means that AnimeCorner.nl is one of a very select group of sites that has two uhmm… not-so-popular features, i.e. .rmvb encoded episodes and free file host servers. On the upside, it has a large database of anime series and movies available and is ad-less.

1. AnimeCorner.nl

  • Rapidshare Speed: Quite Fast
  • Content: 51 anime series – both ongoing (e.g. Suzumiya, TOKKO, Soul Link, etc.) and completed series (e.g. Chobits, Ikkitousen, Suzuka, etc.) – and movies (e.g. Mononoke-hime, Howl’s Moving Castle, etc.)
  • Video Format: .rmvb (LQ to MQ)
  • Note: Hassle-free site, i.e. no registration or forum posting required to access downloads. Uses only free file hosts, i.e. Rapidshare.de, to serve anime episodes. Ad-less.

I’m happy to see a review of animecorner on this site. It is a rather good review, there is however a fault in it. We don’t use only free file hosts. Some of our series are also on paid host from which can be downloaded with anti-leech with rapidshare mirrors; Those are mostly the smaller series (up to 26 episodes) The big series we host on rapidshare because it will become to expcesive to put them on paid hosts.

The rest of the review is very good. ;)

    Sorry for the mistake, Ryon.

I’d like to do an update, but could you please point me to series that are being hosted on paid hosts?

I’ve found a few, but it’s going to be pretty difficult for me to count how many are on free file hosts and how many are on paid hosts due to the large volume of anime AnimeCorner has. :)

But if you can’t, then it’s okay. Thanks in advance.

It was a bit of work but this are the series that are on paids hosts:
    Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
    Battle Programmer Shirase
    Crest of the stars
    Chrno Crusade
    Fate/ Stay Night
    Furi Kuri
    Gokusen
    Gundam 08th MS team
    Gungrave
    Gunslinger
Hanbu No Tsuki Ga Noboru Sora
    Hellsing
    Jigoku Shoujo
    Kanon
    Karin
    Magikano
    Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Noir
    Paradise Kiss
    Ragnarok, The Animation
    Scrapped Princess
    Shakugan no Shana
    Shinigami no Ballad
    Shingetsutan Tsukihime
    Shuffle!
    Soul Link
    Soukyuu no Fafner
    Stratos4
    Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu
    Tokko
    Witch Hunter Robin

As you can see it is a rather big list ;) 31 series. All this series also have a rapidshare mirror. This is to relieve some of the stress away from the paid hosts. (they aren’t cheap)

I had a great shortcut to see which series are on paid hosts, but it would be a lot of work to find out by checking every serie as you said. (71 series and still going up)

We would be very greatfull if you could make that update.

    with kind regards
    Ryon

Appearantly we have a problem now.

    We lost our paid hosts.

I’ll let you know when/if we have new hosts.
