Anime Seal Network - Anime Direct Download Site
A pretty much standard anime direct download site here, though slightly thin on their public media. It seems to be pretty fast during non-peak hours though.
- Speed: Quite Fast
- Content: Episodes from three anime series (i.e. Law of Ueki, Naruto, and Beck)
- Update Frequency: Unknown
- Video Format: avi (HQ)
- Note: Free registration required (e-mail confirmation not required). Forum posting not required. Paid VIP section available, but it’s strictly optional.

Just passing this direct download site along. http://anime-direct.com/index.php
They update daily and provide super fast download speeds. They require $10 a month for their service and they remove licensed anime titles when asked to by the copyright holder. You can find every recent fansub on this site. I’m not sure if you review paying sites but I think you should put up a review of this site since they have such a large library of titles.

I’ll be putting up a few reviews of paid direct download sites soon, but I don’t think I will be doing that for anime-direct.com - simply because their monthly fee is far too high.
If you wanted to, you could get the same sort of service from a site like danimeftp.com for $6.

I joined Anime-Direct for their large library of titles. There are many Japan only series that I can no longer find early episodes of that have a high amount of seeds so Anime-Direct healed my pain. For the amount of anime I watch $10 a month is chump change considering I spend hundreds on DVDs. Anyway, this is my first time to your site and I will be returning for more reviews. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, hopefully you found something useful.
Hmm, for the kind of selection they are providing, I’d still rather go for danimeftp (which has an equally large selection), which also has a large selection of unlicensed J and K-Drama.
So, Anime-Direct would have to beat its competition on other factors. Since you are using it, it would be great if you could fill me in on some details? How many download connections can you make, and is the downloading through HTTP or FTP? Moreover, does it have a forum to request unlicensed stuff and uhmm… complain?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the large number of questions.

You can have two download connections at the same time. They use HTTP for downloading and have mulitple servers to download from. There is no forum to post on. Nor, is there a comment box. You can make requests and have questions answered through email.
I usual get speeds at about 500kbs - 700kbs when downloading from them at anytime of the day. They also encourage using a download accelarator. The only time my speeds slow down is when I am downloading a torrent at the same time.

Thanks a lot for the answers. Hmm, only 2 connections mean that people getting poor speeds won’t be able to leverage on multiple connections to max their downlink.
For example, sites like danimeftp allow you to select an alternative download plan where you are given up to 5 connections, but are capped at 250KB/sec.
Hmm, but the HTTP downloading sounds interesting since both National-Anime and danimeftp use FTP.
