Anime Direct Downloads Sites For Recent Fansubs

If you’ve been to anime forums like AnimeSanction and AnimeOtaku, you would have noticed a thread with the same title as this post. There, I used to list a compilation of anime direct downloads sites catered for ongoing series, i.e. our Bittorrent replacements.

So, given that we still have quite a large selection of such sites available to us now, I think it would be useful to compile the posts I’ve made on them - especially for those too lazy to search my archives or related posts.

In order of my personal preference (somewhat):

  1. National Anime
    - Frequently updated and high download speeds
  2. MrPC’s Anime
    - Very fast + large selection of popular ongoing anime series
  3. Animezura.com
    - Slightly less episodes and updates compared to NA, but with equally high download speeds.
  4. Anime-Treasures.com
    - Frequently updated on popular ongoing series, and with high download speeds
  5. Anime-Divx.com
    - Updated frequently, but with only above average speeds
  6. Avluis.com
    - New site with about 5 ongoing series (7 total)
  7. Anime 4 You
    - Few episodes available, but still rather up to date on certain series
  8. anime.yurikamome.info
    - Not updated very frequently, and speeds are relatively low
  9. Fansub.tv
    - Updated frequently, but terribly low download speeds

Almost all of these sites don’t require registration (or forum posts). In fact, only National Anime and Anime-Divx.com require you to register (for free) to access their public media.

Actually, there should be a few more really good ones, but some we have lost completely (anime.c.la and chiisana.net) and some are down temporarily (animeblues.com).

Edited on Feb. 20th, 2006: Eeks, as it was pointed out, I forgot mrpc.us.

You left out mrpc ^^. Anyway, no-sry.net goes down, and some eps on mrpc go down too. It turns out that it was the same host: http://ultra-z.net/ . I think they are going on anime-sites-killing-spree.

But anything with “most valuable” really sounds too pretentious, lol.

    Dear users of this site,

My name is Fred. I’m in charge of the hosting service on Ultra-Z.net. A few of our customers have been suspended without my permission by the datacenter.

Please note that we tried everything to keep our customers who got suspended (and they got refunded if we couldn’t).

We’re currently still hosting Avluis.com and we plan to keep hosting him in the future if no problems occur.

So please before you misunderstand, we’re not on some “anime killing spree” as you like to call it.

Some of the customers just have been suspended without Ultra-Z’s permission because they we’re hosting copyrighted series without permission of the creator (warez).

actually you left out the MOST updated recently release website and most decent speed in terms of anime ddl, but they are quite having several problems right now so im reluctant to tell the site itself, i want to keep it a secret for a while unless you find out yourself (clue: neko sound)

tom: Hmm… I get “server busy” quite often these days, but I don’t think I’ve been facing the same problems you have with Animezura.

Fred: Don’t worry. :) I don’t think pimp meant anything like that. Moreover, I do understand and support hosts suspending accounts due to copyright, but I have seriously negative opinions towards host suspending accounts due to overselling (I understand the use of overselling as it is a common business practice, but not the suspensions as hosts should bear the burden of their promises). Hopefully that was not the case here.

rllaneis: Darn, “neko sound”? Nope, no idea yet. But I’ll definitely hunt it down!

    Dear Fred,
I’m sorry if my words insulted you, which I never meant to. I perfectly understand the fact about anime hosting stuffs.

    @rllaneis: animemeow ? lol

huuuuu… me site no dead completely :p

its back now, I delayed it a bit because i had other projects to handle… though, I kept on posted on mrpc’s forum so there was a small bit of a hype there :p

as previously said in other entry… its invitation only… I have like 9 more left from the previous budgeted 45 invitations, and those that signed up already still have all their invites in tact… I wonder if they dug through the mountains of moonspeak to find it yet :p

I’m currently working on translations to english and traditional chinese… I heard once the english one comes out, an italian translation would be pending as well… so it’d be interesting to see how much languages I can get it arranged for :p

other than that… yah… if anyone wants invite, the spare ones are up for grab, email me for one if you want one. its dmca [at] chiisana [you know where]

    =]

Before you post the update, if possible, contact me via email or something so I can hax you an account with lots of invitations. I am about to enter second phase of testing for v1a of the site. I need lots of volume for this part of testing, so it’d be nice to get tons of ppl from here to join as well =]

Animesanction is down, yes. How do you know it’s N-A?

The forum database was destroyed completely.
The site was redirected to N-A
When ppl brought up this topic on N-A, their topics got deleted, their nicks got banned

–> do you need any more proof?

OMG, zzz. Doesn’t N-A have anything better to do?

Anyway, I asked because I wanted some details regarding the issue. No extra proof required. :)

    Thanks.

[…] I had actually thought that my previous list of “anime direct downloads sites for recent fansubs” (cumbersome phrase isn’t it?) was somewhat complete. But given the number of new sites we’ve discovered since then (e.g. teamskn.net and LMTC-Anime), I’ll probably have to make a new list by the end of the week. […]

[…] Download speeds are much faster than when profiled before. And given its frequent updating, it’s now an excellent source for the latest episodes from recent fansubs (which you can use as a complement for the other good sites for latest fansubs, e.g. National-Anime and Anime-Treasures). […]
