[Info] Anime Direct Download Forums

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

For the next installment of Direct Download sites, I will be writing about Anime Direct Download Forums. Here are a few good ones:

1) www.animesanction.net
- Posts Required To Access Downloads: 30 non-spam posts
- Points per Episode: None
- Content: Large, i.e. 400+ anime episodes (e.g. Hunter X Hunter (all + OVAs), Loveless, Air, Airmaster, Victory Gundam, Gundam 0083, Star Ocean EX, etc.)
- Update Frequency: Low

2) www.animeotaku.net
- Posts Required To Access Downloads: 10 non-spam posts
- Points per Episode: 15 points (around 6-10 non-spam posts)
- Content: Huge, i.e. 2400+ anime episodes (e.g. Hunter X Hunter (all + OVAs), Loveless, Air, Airmaster, Victory Gundam, Gundam 0083, Star Ocean EX, etc.)
- Update Frequency: Very High (i.e. most recent episodes of ongoing series)

There are quite a number more. But these two are probably among the most established ones. I’ll touch on a few others some time later.

[Reviews] [Info] [Downloads] Prayers

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

Title: Prayers
Year: 2005
Total Episodes: 4 (OVA)
Categories: Science Fiction, Music
Fansubbed Version Watched: AnimeSource
Episodes I Watched So Far: 1
Episodes Available ATM: 1

The story starts in 2014, where Shibuya (a Japanese city/district) has become independent of Japan. It is a city filled with rubble and chaos. However, it is in this city that Prayers exist. Prayers are basically musicians that battle through music, where implants to their heads amplify sound signals to the extent that losers of the battle may very well die. All this as a career of course.

Personal Comments:
I’ve uploaded a couple of short clips to provide some sort of preview to the series that words cannot express. On to the series itself, for one, I feel that it this first episode managed to setup a possibly interesting storyline. Of course, battling through music is nothing new, with Macross 7 also based on this premise. But, this series is definitely going to be more gruesome (Not to the level of Gantz (uncensored), but still…).

Moreover, it is only an OVA with 4 episodes. Therefore, I can’t really see how much “story” can fit in although the first ep. seems to allude to quite a bit.

Taking Requests

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

Due to the lack of participation from my dear visitors (even though more than 300 people visit this site daily), I’ll start taking requests for unlicensed anime episodes. In fact, requests for [Info] articles would be fine as well. Post your requests in the comments for this post and I’ll try to fulfill it as soon as possible (if I can, of course).

Note: You do not need to be a registered member of Blogspot to comment. So…come on, comment! (I must be really desperate if I’m posting this…)

BlogExplosion: Rent My Blog

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

I just put up a Rent My Blog from BlogExplosion on site. For those who don’t know, its a means to advertise the “Renter’s” blog while at the same time providing me credit so I can “Rent” other blogs.

Note: I would love to have some comments on this. Does it interfere very much with the rest of the blog? Thanks in advance.

The Search Engine

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

I’ve gotten a couple of emails saying that it is difficult to find certain posts I’ve made. Until I start setting up categorisation links for navigation, please just use the search bar on the right navi.

On to some more Prince of Tennis. Sorry about hosting it on Megaupload though since I posted it long before I started using FileFront. It happens to still work, so why not?
